We asked some of our supporters to explain why they chose to donate to our work:

John Laing Charitable Trust

Working with Historic England enabled the John Laing Charitable Trust (JLCT) to create true community value and educational purpose from its extensive archive materials. Our partnership drew on the personal experience and knowledge of John Laing retirees, as well as the films, images and documents stored within the archive.

It was rewarding to work with an organisation which understands the true value of these assets and also possesses the technical expertise to make the most of them for the good of society.

Benefact Trust

We’ve been working in partnership with Historic England since 2018, supporting six of their heritage apprentices through our Heritage Grants Programme. It has been a privilege to support a new generation of heritage workers, who will go on to protect our rich historic environment.

Historic England is a great organisation to work with – they value us as a committed and enthusiastic supporter and we value them as experts in what they do.
