Eighty-one sheets showing the castle, its site and its associated buildings dating from the late nineteenth century to 1996. The earliest sheets are annotated Ordnance Survey maps surveyed from 1880. There are Office of Works site plans from 1920 onwards, some showing the guardianship area. One sheet from 1925 shows the design of notice board text.
Most sheets from the 1930s onward relate to maintenance and site improvement issues, including drawings of proposed new entrance gates, well and pit fencing, an extension for the custodian's house, new steps for the wall walk and chapel and a new car park. A small number of drawings show drainage and water supply.
There are a number of sheets relating to topographic and photogrammetric surveys carried out by Atkins AMC for English Heritage between 1993 and 1995, and some elevations produced between 1995 and 1996 by the Cornwall Archaeology Unit.
