251 sheets relating to Norham Castle, ranging in date from the early-eighteenth century to the late-twentieth century. The sheets include maps, plans, elevations, sections and details of the site.
There are a number of sheets concerning the construction and maintenance of oak bridges over the inner and outer moats at the castle.
Thirty-three sheets date from the 1920s and a further seven from the early 1960s. There are a number of drawings also dating from the 1920s concerning the widening of the nearby road and the construction of boundary fences at the southern edge of the site. A series of twenty sheets dating from 1956-7 relate to the construction of a new custodian's cottage at the site.
There are thirty-six sheets of topographic surveys of the castle at various scales, with twelve forming an original survey from 1984, and the remaining twelve from 1986. There is also a series of five sheets of photogrammetric elevations and photogrammetrically-derived cross-sections of the keep, dating from 1984-5.
A series of seventeen sheets dating from 1987-8 relates to re-roofing works on the custodian's ticket office. There are a small number of drawings dating from 1986 concerning the construction of oak viewing galleries, and another small series relates to the installation of safety rails on the upper level of the castle's keep.
