Description

174 sheets of drawings dating from the 1920s to 2015. The earliest sheets include an Ordnance Survey map from 1922 and a number of sheets from the 1930s relating to a proposed museum and custodian's cottage, and new gates and fencing.

There are a number of plans relating to general site improvement and maintenance from the 1940s to the 1990s. There are a group of excavation plans from the 1940s. Several plans for reproduction date from the 1950s, some being revised to 1963.

Most sheets are from the 1980s. These include drawings of excavated buildings; electrical services drawings from 1981 to 1983; architects' drawings relating to alterations to the museum, made between 1980 and 1984 and a topographic survey of the site from 1985.

More recent sheets date from the 1990s and include drawings of shop and custodian's counter alterations from 1990 and car park layout proposals from 1995. There are also three survey plans of the visitor centre from 2014-15.
