Description

RCHME Newcastle surveyed the castle and its environs in 1989-90, following a request from North York Moors National Park, for management purposes. An architectural survey of the gatehouse was carried out in 1992 by RCHME York. 1:1000 survey with associated building report (see BF086643/1) and geophysical survey . Unfinished project.
