Description

Betwen late January and mid February 2002, English Heritage carried out an archaeological investigation of an Iron Age hillfort on St Gregory's Hill, together with an extensive area of the surrounding landscape. The analytical field survey was one of a number undertaken by English Heritage as part of the Northumberland National Park Authority's project entitled 'Discovering our hillfort heritage'.
