Description

The Air Photography Unit was asked by the Field Survey Unit of RCHME based at Exeter to produce a 1:1000 survey of those extant features of Ham Hill visible on aerial photographs. The site of interest is an Iron Age Hillfort, which has suffered extensive quarrying dating back to the Roman period. The aim of the survey was to produce an accurate photogrammetric plan of the whole area, which could be used by the field team as a starting point for a full ground survey.
