Description

A series of 341 items, predominantly photographic prints, withdrawn from the open Red Box Collection for conservation reasons during the 2011-12 Red Box Project and again in 2014, including several original colour prints dating from the late 1970s - early 80s and several black and white photographs by Newcastle photographer, Harry Ord Thompson (1871-1950). There are also two photographs taken in Lowestoft and one taken in Saltburn-by-the-Sea which are mounted with photographs taken in Newcastle upon Tyne.

Archival History

This series includes photographs withdrawn from the open Red Box Collection for conservation reasons during the 2011-12 Red Box Project.
