Description

For 'Heritage Action Zone. Rochdale'. Formerly Cargo Studios, where numerous north-eastern musical groups (including Joy Division, the Teardrop Explodes, Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark, The Fall and the Stone Roses) recorded between the 1970s and 1990s. From 1985 it was renamed Suite 16, and was partly-owned by Peter Hook, bass player with Joy Division and New Order.
