Pair of cottages. Early C17; refronted early/mid C19. Timber framed, faced in whitewashed brick with brick dentil cornice. Concrete tile roof; brick ridge stacks. 3-unit double-depth plan. One storey and attic; 3-window range. Paired entrances with moulded wood door surrounds, and separate projecting cornice over both. No.5 has 4-panelled door, No.3 a later C20 plank door. On left half-glazed door to No.7 and adjoining C20 door to passage have segmental brick arches. No.3 has 2-storey canted bay abutting No.1, and breaking above main roof line. No.5 has mid/late C19 canted bay with 16-pane sash. 2 hipped dormers have wood and iron casements with glazing bars. To rear No.5 has small late C17 single storey timber framed wing, partly rebuilt in brick. C19 brick additions. Interior of No.5: Exposed framing, and a jowled post. Broad chamfered ceiling beams. Exposed wind braces. Some exposed wattle. A small portion of the ground floor forms part of No.7, which is an adjoining structure listed as a separate item.
