TQ 2879 NE CITY OF WESTMINSTER OLD PARK LANE, SW1 89/5 (west side) Nos 149 and 150 2.10.69 (including No 137 Piccadilly) G.V. II Flats and chambers above former showroom, now restaurant. 1904 by Collcutt and Hamp. White artificial stone (Doulton's Carrara ware?) and some green ceramic brick, slate roof. Exuberant eclectic "Flemish Baroque". Very tall, narrow 7 storey Piccadilly front, including pediment, gable end, with 5 storeys and 2-tier attic to Old Park Lane. 3 windows wide to Piccadilly, long 9-window return . Ground floor has central entrance and flanking display windows all framed by Doric columns, the outer ones in pairs and rusticated, carrying entablature. Upper floors have central Gibbs surround windows with segmental pediments flanked by through-storey canted bays with architraved casements, the top 2 floors with 2-light windows. Bracketed cornice over 5th floor, shaped gable end to attic storeys finished off by giant broken segmental pediment with green brick banding and figure sculpture crowned by ornamental obelisk-finial.

The attic windows have ornamental ironwork balconies. The Old Park Lane return has ground floor articulated by rusticated pilaster order, similar to Piccadilly front, with central entrance framed by rusticated columns and segmental pediment. Architraved and pedimented casements to upper floors with 4-storey canted bay windows flanking 3 central bays; 2 tiers of stone framed pedimented dormers.
