Long low red brick outbuilding of Stour View, early Cl9, formerly malthouse and factory for ships' biscuits, now used as Small Bore Rifle Club. Ground floor with small segment-headed windows becomes basement as yard slopes up; stringcourse, with course of blue headers. Slate roof with slate-hung dormers. In basement at south end, big brick ovens, under curved vault with brick ribs. Attached barn to south, higher, has half-hipped gables.

Stour View, The Malthouse and the Barn and Railing at Stour View, form a group.
