GV II

Terraced houses. c1807-28. Stucco, roofs of slate. 3 storeys over basement with dormers in mansard roof. One-window range except No.6 which has 2 windows. Steps up to entrance which is flat-arched with overlight on Nos 4 and 7, pointed-arched with fanlight and decorative glazing on Nos 5-6; all houses have full-height canted bays offset a little to the left on the upper floors, except that on No.4 the bay is segmental; all windows are triple and flat-arched. Ground-floor windows to No.4 flanked by fluted pilasters with 6/6 sashes of original design; bracketed verandah to first floor with cast-iron railings; rectangular panels recessed in stucco between bays on each house, partially obliterated on No.7; cornice interrupted by bays except on No.7 and parapet; stacks to party walls. INTERIOR: not inspected. Cast-iron railings to steps and area with spearhead and other finials.
