TG 2207 NW NEWMARKET ROAD (North West side) 27/544 5.6.72 No.55 (The Eagle P.H.) GV II House, now public house. Mid C19. Red brick; slate roof; gable-end brick chimneys. 2 storeys; 3 first-floor windows, symmetrical. Half-glazed panelled door has overlight with glazing bars in simple moulded doorcase with panelled reveals. 16-pane sash windows have flat gauged brick arches.

Brick kneelers to gables. Later single-storey extensions to left and right each with a 16-pane sash window.
