TOLLESBURY NORTH ROAD TL 9410-9510 (east side) 8/30 Victoria Cottage GV II

House. Mainly C18/early C19, incorporating one bay of a medieval house. Timber framed, plastered, roofed with handmade red clay tiles. 3 bays facing W with central stack, C18/early C19, and one bay to S of a medieval house (the remainder comprising The Victoria, item 8/26, q.v.). One storey with attics. 2 C19/C20 sashes, and one C20 casement in lean-to dormer. 6-panel door, the top panels glazed, with simple moulded canopy. Gambrel roof over C18/early C19 cottage, pitched roof over S bay. Large wood-burning hearth. In main cottage, axial beam with plain joists of vertical section. In S bay, heavy studding and plain joists of horizontal section.
