II GV 2.

Late C18. 2 storeys and attic. Red brick with painted moulded brick dentilled cornice and parapet. Slate roof with shaped gable ends to front ridge. 3 dormers with moulded surrounds and semi-circular heads. 5 ranges of glazing bar sash windows. Central 6 panel door in arched recess with panelled reveals and radiating cast-iron fanlight. Good projecting Doric portico with moulded open pediment and painted stone columns. Early Cl9 moulded spearhead rails to front.

Rear: 3 storeys and basement with central pedimented doorcase. Moulded and dentil brick cornice over 1st floor.

Interior: Elegant circa 1800 staircase to front. (Home of Dr Hurry, historian of Reading Abbey).
