13/146 No 33, The Tan Blouse (formerly listed as Culvert Street 2.10.54 Tan House)

GV II

Former detached house, now flats, late C17; Flemish bond brickwork, slate roof. 3-window recessed centre with wings; 2 storeys. 4-panel front door in centre, semi-circular fanlight with curving glazing bars: either side Tuscan pilaster; moulding around fanlight, otherwise plain boarding carried up square to small dentil moulding below flat projecting hood, on moulded acanthus brackets. Either side a 2-light mullion and transom wooden window, leaded lights, iron opening casement, flat rubbed brick arch. Each wing 2 sash windows, rubbed brick arches.

Above plain brick string course, 7 windows as those either side front door. Coved rendered cornice: gutters bracketed over.

iiipped roof, lead hips and ridge. End chimneys, projecting from envelope, slight offset in sloping brickwork at first floor level: recessed centre to top part on outer face. Interior not inspected.
