REDLINGFIELD TM 17 SE 4/155 Barn immediately north east of Wash Farmhouse (formerly listed with 29.7.55 Wash Farmhouse) GV II

Barn. C17 and later. Timber framed, mainly weatherboarded, the upper portion of some walls plastered. Pantiled roof except porch which has double Roman tiles. 4 bays; cart entrance in second bay from north end, with gabled porch to west. A much altered frame with some reverse-curved braces. The south bay is a later addition and was once floored over, the axial bridging beam still in position. Clasped-purlin roof, heavily rebuilt. Good herringbone brick threshing floor. Included for group value.
