House. Built in 1910 by a local builder W G Tarrant in a Vernacular Revival style strongly influenced by Sir Edwin Lutyens. Brick in English bond with steeply pitched tiled roof with four tall panelled brick stacks. L-shaped plan. Entrance front to east is of two storeys five windows. First floor has three central casements with wooden shutters divided from end windows by panelled external brick stacks with curved outside edges. Brick lozenge pattern below central window. Ground floor has alternate bands of brick and tiled courses, two porthole windows and central splayed doorcase with round headed doorcase with keystone and two-panelled door. End quoins. South garden front is of two storeys and attics with five windows. Three hipped dormers and two storey tiled splayed central bay of nine lights. Ground floor windows have cross casements. Loggia of brick and tiled piers with glazed screen attached to west. Similar windows to return front, including four-light staircase window. Very complete interior includes panelled hall and well staircase with turned balusters, panelled corner room with cupboards, wooden fireplace with tiled surround and ceiling with four roundels. Central room has Gibbs surround fireplace with blue tiles and alcove. West room has wooden and tiled fireplace, cupboards with lozenge decoration , ceiling with pattern of roundels and three original pendant light fittings. Kitchen retains some original cupboards. Staircase to second floor has thick stick balusters. The original doors survive.
