GV II

Unitarian church hall, with shops below. Late C19, with C20 alterations. Ashlar. Roof not visible. Italianate style. Plinth, first floor cornice, prominent dentilled eaves cornice, open balustrade. 2 storeys; 5 bays articulated by Ionic pilasters on each floor. 3 moulded round-arched recesses with 2-light round-headed traceried windows with shafts and metal glazing bars and transoms. On either side, a square recess with a single square headed window and above it, a round window with festoons. Ground floor has round-arched arcade with recessed central main entrance with panelled double door and fanlight. On either side, 4 recessed shopfronts with large single pane shop windows and glazed doors, 3 of them with their original fanlights missing. INTERIOR is reputed to contain circular stair decorated with glazed bricks, and hall with open timber roof.
