WOOLPIT THE STREET (SOUTH WEST TL 9762 SIDE) 5/174 The White House - GV II House, C16 or C17 with early C19 alterations. 2 storeys. 3 windows.

Probably 3-cell lobby-entrance plan. Timber-framed and plastered, with gault brick encasing of C19 at side. Hipped slated roof with axial C18 chimney of red brick, recapped with C19 gault brick. 3-light early C19 casements with transomes. To right is a late C19 shop window with diamond-patterned lights at low level. 6-panelled early C19 entrance door, and a C19 stable-type door to right.
