3/36 Garden wall with pedestrian entrance archway fronting onto bridle path on east side of Firsby Hall Farm

GV II

Garden wall with pedestrian entrance doorway. Probably c1700. Coursed rubble sandstone walling with ashlar archway. Round arch has quadrant- moulded voussoirs beneath offset string course surmounted by shaped gable with carved-head and other finials. Wall on left has triangular copings built up in 2 courses and continues for approximately 20 metres; wall on right has flat copings and continues for approximately 5 metres before joining barn (q.v.).
