ST 9958 POTTERNE HIGH STREET (east side)

14/160 No 9 (formerly listed as Old Post Office) 19.3.62 GV II

House, C17 raised in C18, timber frame, roughcast to front, with rubble stone plinth, thatched roof and south end stack. Off- centre door in timber architrave with timber hood on brackets over.

Fielded panelling to hood soffit and between brackets. Each side, a small 4:16:4-pane tripartite sash with cornice and first floor 16-pane sash. Left side has ground floor casement pair and first floor small 9-pane window. South end wall is rubble stone with exposed tie-beam and collar truss in gable.

Painted brick rear wing with ridge and end stacks. C20 windows and door with stone hood on brackets.
