Terraced town house. c.1751-52, by the master builder John Phillips in partnership with George Shakespear, on a Berkeley Estate lease; alteration to front in 1899 by Wimperis and Arber. 3 storeys, basement and dormered mansard. 3 windows wide and something of a rarity in having a central entrance to front compartment staircase-hall. The central doorway has elliptical arched fanlight. Recessed sash windows, no glazing bars, in midC19 stucco architraves and with 1st floor stone oriel of 1899. Stuccoed plat band to 1st floor; parapet with coping.

Wrought iron area railings. Interior considerably altered early to mid C19; the cut string front compartment staircase has early C19 Grecian pattern cast iron balustrade, changing to square section baluster above 1st floor but retaining a portion of original turned balusters to the 2nd floor landing balustrade; elements of panelling to 1st floor reception rooms otherwise refurbished mid or late C19 but retaining carved, eared architrave chimney piece with composition ornament to rear room (possibly reset), etc.
