12/27 Nos 1, 2, 3 and 4 Byrons Cottage 24.11.61 - II

C18, modernised. A coalescence of 3 different units. The west (road) elevation has 1 storey and attic with a red tile roof, half-hipped to the south (with decorative tile-hanging) and on the north gables a massive chimney breast, 2 gabled dormers resting on the eaves. Red brickwork, with band and plinth, 4 windows and a modern brick porch. Behind is a taller unit, with a shafted central brick stack, and gabled outshot to the south; red tile roof, some tile- hanging otherwise brick walls with cambered openings. Rearward lower block (Nos 1 and 2) has a red tile roof, ending in a large chimney and eastern outshots; blocked central door (of former single unit) and 2 modern brick porches. Case- ments throughout.
