ASHLEWORTH NUP END SO 8025-8125 (east side) 7/14 Kozicot and part of Post Office II Formerly farmhouse: now house and part of Post Office. Probably early C17. Brick-nogged timber-framing, asbestos slates. Three bays, one room deep, 1 1/2 storeys. Cross wing now part of Post Office: facade to road framing 3 panels high, 9-pane window on left, thick, ovolo-moulded glazing bars: 4-panel door under wooden porch, 8-pane window to right with thin glazing bars. Late C20 extension on left, altered C19 on right not of special interest.

Right return, facing drive to Lord's Hill House (q.v.); on left gable hidden by C19 extension: framing 2 panels high, head to blocked door with curved soffit, 3-light window with beam ends each side 2-light casement to right with slight rebate in framing round: angle-brace main post to wall-plate on left, missing on right. Further 2-light casement, mid C20 half-glazed door in gabled wooden porch with corrugated asbestos roof. Right return, 2-Light casement ground and upper floors on left, iron opening lights. Beam at floor level with angle brace up to main post, queen-strut truss above. External brick chimney, tiled offsets.

Internally Post Office end stone-paved: ogee stop to chamfer on ceiling beam. Large chimney base behind blocked door in main wing (possibly lobby entry): straight wind brace to purlins at far end.

Reported thatched until 1957.
