2 houses. 1820s. Brick with stone dressings, slate roof. 3 storeys with basement, 2 bays to each house. Basement lintel band; 1st floor sill band; top frieze, cornice and blocking course. Windows have wedge lintels, round-headed entrances have plastered arches, panelled doorcases and 6-panel doors. Plain iron railings to areas and steps. No. 170 has small-paned casements and complete fanlights. No. 172 has sashes with glazing bars.
