HANLEY CASTLE CP CHURCH END SO 84 SW 3/134 The White Cottage GV II

House. Probably C17. Rendered timber-framing with tile roof. Two storeys.

West wall has gabled one-bay cross-wing at right and irregularly-spaced case- ment windows. Two windows on ground floor towards the left. Chimney to left of cross-wing, forward of ridge. Left-hand gable wall has exposed framing, with curved braces to the tie-beam. The rear wall of the cross-wing has some square panelled framing and a truss with vertical struts between tie-beam and collar. Interior not inspected.
