Restaurant, formerly inn. C17, remodelled and enlarged early C19 with C20 alterations. Coursed squared ironstone, rendered to sides, hipped slate roof, brick lateral stack. Double-depth plan. 2-storey, 2-window range. Central blacked door with wood lintel flanked by canted bay windows. C20 windows to first floor replacing 16-pane sashes, with flat-arched heads. Right side elevation to south has irregular glazing of sash and 2- and 3-light casement windows and pargetting with huntsman in C17 dress with a harehound on a leash and a hare chased by a hound. Doors to left and right side elevations with straight hoods on brackets. C20 extensions to right and rear. Interior has chamfered spine beams and stone cellar. Noted in Buildings of England as dated 1637.
