4/14 Canterton Manor Farmhouse 1.10.79 GV II

Farmhouse. C17 altered C18 and C19, restored 1980. Timber-frame with brick infill (some herringbone areas), thatch roof, brick and plain tile addition.

1 storey, 2 bay with 1 storey L-shaped addition at one end. Front has addition at LH end,has in adjoining bay plank door and 2 single casements, wide projecting -hipped LH bay with hip-roofed rectangular bay and 3-light casement in gable.

Older part has pair of 2-light casements in each bay; wide 4-light eyebrow dormer to RH bay; pair of 2-light eyebrow dormers in other bay, with extra full-height panel for stack at end. Roof -hipped to RH. Ridge stacks at RH end and between bays of older part.
