1849, architect Edward Walters of Manchester. Gothic style. Small coursed stone with ashlar dressings. Modern roof. Flanking sections with flights of steps to arched doorways under dripmoulds with foliated terminals. 1 window above, of 2 cusped lancets below quatrefoil, dripmould. Centre breaks forward with gable with 1 window of 4 cusped lancet lights. Buttresses. Blocked basement windows. Iron railings and 4 gabled piers. Side elevation of 5 bays above basement openings, buttresses.

Wycliffe Congregational Chapel forms a visual group with Nos 68 to 72 (even) opposite, which are of local interest.
