YATTON C.P. LOWER CLAVERHAM ST 46 NW 5/173 Nos. 1 and 2 Sweet Briar Cottages - II

Pair of attached houses, possibly formerly one house. Late C17 origin, C19 and C20 alterations. Rubble, no. 1 to left rendered, no. 2 colourwashed, pantiled roof with ridge and gable stacks. 1 1/2 storeys and 3 windows, ground floor has from left 4-light casement with some ovolo-moulded mullions remaining, C20 lattice glazing, door with strap hinges and inset glazed panel, triangular hood, 1/2-glazed door and 3-light casement with segmental heads to right; 3 gabled dormers above each with casement of 2 upper and 2 lower lights. Right return has single storey addition with waney-edged boarding, 3-light casement to front and 2 C20 4-pane lights to side. Left return has 2-light casement at ground and first floor, single storey wing to rear. Interior: not accessible.
