CODFORD SALISBURY ROAD ST 93 NE (south side) 7/73 No 6 (The Lodge) - II Cottage orne. Early C19. Flint nodules with yellow brick dressings, hipped thatched roof with pair of diagonally-set axial brick stacks. Single-storey, polygonal north front with central ogee-headed 6-panelled door, flanking 2-light pointed casements with leaded Y-glazing within verandah on wooden posts. Left and right returns have two similar pointed casements, the rear ones to projecting bays not within verandah. C20 flat-roofed extension not of special interest. Probably built as a lodge to Stockton House (q.v.).
