STANTON ST BERNARD - SU 06 SE 7/182 England's Bridge

Accommodation bridge over Kennet and Avon Canal. c1806-7. Brick with stone parapet coping. Bridge splayed on plan. Elliptical arch of 13-in bullnosed bricks. Two course string at base of parapet, and flush half-round copings ending in slight piers. GWR lozenge loading restriction sign, with limit of 5 tons. Stone capped revetment to towpath and slot for sluice.
