5104 Winson Green B18 No 17 SP 08 NW 6/27 II GV 2.

1901, by H Buckland and E Haywood-Farmer as the caretakers house for Handsworth New Road School (qv). Brick; slate roof partly with wide flat eaves and big iron brackets to the guttering and partly with bracketed eaves. Two storeys plus attic; 2 bays, that on the right set back a little and treated as the side, as it were, of the asymmetrically gabled right hand return. On the left, a ground floor canted bay window and first and second floor 4 light windows, that of the first floor-deeper than that of the attic; on the right, a small 2 light window and a tall 2 light transomed window above, neither of them bearing any relation to the window of the left hand side. All windows casements complete with glazing bars. The entrance on the right hand return beneath a flat moulded wooden porch suspended on iron brackets.
