5104 Winson Green B18 Handsworth New Road School SP 08 NW 6/26 II GV 2.
1901. Won in competition by H Buckland and E Haywood-Farmer. Brick with minimum stone dressings; tile roof. An essentially symmetrical composition consisting of 5 gabled bays each with a large parabolic arched window plus, left and right, a single similar bay advanced somewhat with, in the angle, a cubic bay with pyramidal roof terminating in an elongated finial. The cupola astride the roof behind the gables now missing. On the left, the composition a little freer with a high gable and 2 dormer type windows in the roof.
