The exterior of The Running Horse on Bridge Street viewed from the east
- Date:
- 29 Apr 1923
- Location:
- Running Horse, Bridge Street, Leatherhead, Mole Valley, Surrey
- Reference:
- INN01/01/055
- Type:
- Photograph (Negative)
A sign on the building's exterior advertises the Commercial House refreshment rooms, but it is not clear whether it is referring to this building or to another nearby. Ordnance Survey maps from the early 20th century indicate that the property is still a public house, but, as it is referred to as 'The Old Running Horse' on the original negative sleeve, it is possible that at the time of photographing the building was not a public house and was instead known as Commercial House. No other reference to Commercial House has been found, however, and, as of 2015, the building is the Running Horse public house.
