These terraced houses, with their characteristic porches extending across the pavement, were part of the early 19th development of this part of Leamington. A number of the surrounding streets also named after streets surrounding Covent Garden in London, these include Russell Street and Tavistock Street. The houses in Covent Garden Market were demolished in the mid 1960s were replaced by a car park.
