Description

A view of a medieval cross in the churchyard of St Mary's Chrch, which is likely to date to the 14th century, and has a tapered sqaure shaft and missing head. The cross is on three steps, and has a carving o a shield with an angel supporting it on the east side, although the angel is difficult to see in the image. The south side and west tower of the church is in the background, with the south porch just behind the cross. The church dates to the 12th century, although the south porch is later, dated to 1885. The image is almost identical to AA62/07222, by Mrs E. M. Booty, with some cropping differences.
