Description

The church was built by John Carr between 1791 and 1793 at his own expense of £8,000. The church has a west tower, nave with octagonal ends and two wings in place of transepts. The two wings, or transepts, have flat panelled ceilings, whilst the nave ceiling has a shallow vault with a decorated frieze. The nave is surrounded by Corinthian pialsters, with two fluted Corinthian columns dividing the nave and wings.
