Description

The main body of the cathedral was built between 1093 and 1130, with additions and alterations made in the 13th and 15th centuries. The tomb dates to 1388 and is the site of Lord Neville's body and that of his wife. There are two damaged effigies lying on top of a decorated chest tomb. It has arcades with sculpted figues under each arch and painted crests, with an embattled parapet above.
