Description

The collection contains a photographically illustrated book entitled ‘Nottingham - Its castle. A military fortress, a royal palace, a ducal mansion, a blackened ruin, a museum and gallery of art with notes relating to the Borough of Nottingham’, written by Thomas Chambers Hine in 1876.

The publication contains eighteen black and white albumen photographic prints and five other lithographic illustrations used to explain the history of the Castle of Nottingham. It was published by Hamilton, Adams, and Co., London.
