Description

The collection comprises 80 black and white photographic prints, taken between about 1918 and 1965. The collection has been divided into the following series: images of Greater Manchester (DAC01/01); aerial photographs (DAC01/02), ground photographs of English towns (DAC01/03), and photographs of English coastal and landscape scenes. Many of the prints measure 40cm x 50cm and the various annotations suggest that they may have been displayed as part of an exhibition. The prints were produced for and compiled by a government department.

Archival History

The collection was acquired by the Historic England Archive in 2015.
