Engine house, chimney and headstocks to the former Pleasley Colliery, Chesterfield Road, Pleasley - Bolsover
Disused colliery, late C19 with headstocks and winding engines. Owned by The Land Trust. The site includes a pit museum and recently improved visitor facilities. Restoration and maintenance led by a good local team of volunteers from the Friends of Pleasley Pit/ Pleasley Pit Trust. A programme of repairs was completed in 2011 and much of the site is in a fair condition. However, major repairs are required to address the deteriorating condition of the chimney and structural concerns adjacent to the southern headstock. Historic England has provided advice and offered a project development grant.
