Tortworth Court, Falfield / Tortworth / Cromhall - South Gloucestershire (UA)

Important Victorian house and grounds, including renowned arboretum. House now a hotel and part of grounds lost to Leyhill Open Prison. Walled garden being redeveloped for light industrial use. Arboretum neglected. Extensive loss of trees in park. The registered area is in multiple ownership and suffers from a lack of holistic management. In 2016 a Conservation Management Plan for part of the registered park was produced with grant aid from Historic England. This was followed in 2017 by a grant to assist with de-silting the lake (now completed), which forms the centrepiece of the design.
