Cathedral Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Minster Yard, Lincoln - Lincoln

One of England's finest cathedrals and an iconic landmark, established 1072. Programmes of repair are addressing the decay of fabric, yet the condition of high-level masonry and some roofs remain a concern. Historic England has funded repairs to the southwest and northwest turrets. A £16 million National Lottery Heritage Fund project; Lincoln Cathedral Connected provided visitor facilities, repairs to the west front and conservation of the Romanesque Frieze. Historic England's Covid 19 Emergency Heritage at Risk Response Fund supported further work. Further repairs are required.
