Church of St Mary, Thornthwaite, Above Derwent, Cumberland Council (UA) - Lake District (NP)

Church of 1831, extended in 1853. Nave, chancel, north and south transepts all in Early English style, with bellcote at west end and west porch. Generally appears well cared for but there are signs of damp in the south and west walls. Roofs have slipped slates and broken ridge tiles.
