Training & Skills Development Opportunities

We provide training and guidance to help local authorities, heritage professionals, owners and voluntary organisations look after England's heritage. We also train those whose work directly or indirectly impacts on historic sites and buildings.

Our aim is to promote and develop the skills necessary for the understanding, protection and management of the historic environment by a workforce that is equipped to adapt to changing needs.

Here you can find out about the training courses we run with various partners on subjects ranging from government policies and legislation to the practical, technical and specialist skills required to understand, protect and conserve historic places. We also offer, with partners, work-based training opportunities, bursary schemes and online training resources.
