Sheldon Bush Lead Shot Works, 10-14 Cheese Lane, Bristol

The lead shot tower at the Sheldon Bush Works was built in 1969. Uniformed shot is produced by pouring lead through a sieve or colander, called a 'card', allowing it to form into spheres as it drops inside the tower, and then catching it in cold water. A longer drop improves the uniformity of the shot.
