Norman Tower, Abbey Precincts, Bury St Edmund, Suffolk

This tower was built between 1120 and 1148 in a Romanesque fashion. It was restored by the Gothic Revivalist architect L. N. Cottingham in 1846. It is now used as a belfry for the Cathedral Church of St James.
